What is a CPSR?
The CPSR is a toxicological assessment of the finished product. The CPSR is a legal requirement for all cosmetic products sold in the UK and the EU.
This is bespoke to your product and shows that it has been formally assessed by a qualified safety assessor, and complies with the latest EU and the UK regulations. Now you can take that power too, without any form of toxicology degree!

What is ChemComply© for?
ChemComply is a Cosmetic Safety Reporting System for Safety Assessors, Formulators, Brand Owners, Manufacturers and more. It allows companies to benefit from over 10,000 toxicological profiles to complete their own ingredient assessments and Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSR).
Do I need a CPSR?
Yes. It is the law for any cosmetic product to have a CPSR signed by a qualified safety assessor before your product goes on sale in the UK and EU.
What is involved in the CPSR process?
A CPSR has 2 parts:
Part (A) Cosmetic Product Safety Information
Here, we give you the power to compile the product information, test data and documents, which will be assessed in Part (B). It includes important data on the formula, the raw materials, stability & microbiology tests, the packaging and the use of the product. It is likely that you or your manufacturer will hold much of this information already as it is required for the PIF (product information file).
Part (B) Cosmetic Product Safety Assessment
Our fully qualified expert safety assessor will review the information provided. The team will check to see if there are any issues with the ingredients or formula using the latest in up to date cloud technology and drawing on extensive professional experience. You will be provided with:
